Bolder Chips tarted out making tortillas in 2016 in Boulder with two unique criteria. One was the source of corn which is from the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Reservation in Colorado. The other feature was our proprietary method of partially cooking, then cooling and vacuum sealing the tortillas for extended shelf life without preservatives. In order to sample the tortillas in stores we started cutting them to make chips. People asked for us to sell those and then came our second unique ingredient: High-oleic sunflower oil from Colorado Mills. Our inspiration is to make the best quality chips possible.
